Orange juice was spilled on this Tascam 414, so the transport buttons had sticky movement, which got worse for the client over time. It actually prevented Play from staying engaged. I ended up having to fully disassemble and clean the front and back of the mechanism, which I've only had to maybe once or twice in 10 years. Replaced a shorted zener diode which was causing pulsing in the playback speed — another result of the liquid spill. #recdel #repair #4Track #ElectronicsRepair #vintage
