My own synagogue is just a mile away from Temple Israel. If preschool had been in session at the time the truck full of explosives crashed into it up to 140 Jewish children would have been killed, including children of friends of mine.

For another, I’ve been personal friends with both Haley (and to a lesser extent with Mallory) for 8 years. For that matter I had a good relationship with Abdul during his first run for office—I even wrote a deep dive analysis of his state-level single payer proposal at the time.
