@jon_alper@mastodon.online Of course we're depressed. We're sane (maybe?) and we have eyes (mostly). Airplane callbacks are _always_ a small joy, though.

@jon_alper@mastodon.online It's even worse if you lived in the 60s and 70s, where compared to now, it was a paradise of sanity. Partly this was because there were no computers, cellphones or social media. Politicians were mostly ignored and the news media didn't skew everything into a fascist, racist, or bigot soundbite.
