@aaron@chirp.zadzmo.org "I can't run NetBSD because it doesn't support my Ryzen 46 with Nvidia RTX 98000 and 802.11ayx WiFi" You know middle aged x86 computers are free, right?

@aaron@chirp.zadzmo.org this is how I setup my NetBSD boxes with a reasonable Linux-like experience https://git.disroot.org/m33/comfy I wouldn’t recommend to change the default shell for root account, but one must use an unprivileged account for daily use anyway ;) #netbsd

I suppose there's hack value in building such a hybrid and getting it to work, but I don't think that's a serious proposal for building the next iteration of trusted infrastructure. Signed, a weird dude using Dell branded drives in an HP SAS shelf plugged into a Sun T2000 server, all mounted on a DEC PDP/11 rack. I made it work but I wouldn't build something expecting five-nines reliability this way!

@aaron@chirp.zadzmo.org a hybrid project often carries the worst of both source and ditches the best aspects. Exceptions are scant, rare and really, really hard to even come up with.
