I just released something, that I honestly wasn’t expecting to have time to wrap up.
What if we honor not just the idea of bodily death: the beloved dead, the ancestral line, etc — but of metaphorical death, too, this season? What if we consider the times in which we are experiencing death, and how those times are the ones we truly are the closest to something that Christian language has allowed us to imagine is “beyond” (but which is truly existing all around us, always, just like everything else)?

This is not, in any sense of the word, perfect writing, I don’t cleanly wrap up all of the threads, I don’t weave some grand narrative, I don’t even answer all of the questions. It is unsatisfying at best, and yet! I hope that it gives you something to think on, to digest, to turn over in your mind. After all, you have so much access to good, clean information! How boring!
