  • @nuintari I run a Hytale server for my son-in-law and myself. We've had a lot of fun with it and are excited for the content updates coming soon.

  • I do love me some tiny RPG's but this one... fitting a whole #ttrpg into a PocketMod booklet got my attention immediately Check out Change of Plans by TechDweeb https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZeQvFhHIlk #gaming

  • A friend asked me to learn how to make conchas so I could teach them 😅 So I've been trying out different recipes! This is my 3rd attempt so far and I think they're getting pretty close! I think this recipe will be the base for my final recipe making a few tweaks from things I liked from the other attempts. Pictured here are vanilla, cocoa and strawberry flavored toppings (also made some cinnamon). #baking #conchas

  • I try to visit an FLGS while traveling and this week stopped by Krakens Keep in Kitty Hawk, NC finally picking up a copy of Brass Birmingham Unfortunately I don't have my usual gaming crew with me currently so my 10yr son got to experience "a big game" 😊 He did fairly well too (with some coaching of course) scoring 109 points to my 126; he managed a ton of high value trains while I was distracted with building 🤔 #boardgames #gaming

  • I am seeking a few groups for a final round of blind playtesting for my latest board game Hop Shot - a micro dexterity game for 2 players that plays in about 10 minutes inspired by the Japanese sport of pole toppling. For those interested I am asking for $5 USD to help with shipping ($10 USD outside the US) as well as at least 3 plays of the game and 1 feedback form submission. The game is yours to keep. #boardgames #games #gamedesign

  • In an effort to not doom scroll so much, I started reading Neal Stephenson’s Snow Crash again. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_Crash It’s a great book, I also have the anniversary hardcover version. I can also recommend Paolo Bacigalupi’s The Water Knife https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Water_Knife for glimpse into a possible future Lastly you should read Octavia Butler https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octavia_E._Butler I really enjoyed The Parable of the Sower and the Parable of the Ta...

  • Folks on Facebook are noticing Senator Brent Taylor sure seems to have a more generous way of looking at things when it comes to his sown behavior. 😕 🍆 www.facebook.com/share/p/19Rt...

  • TOMORROW

  • Whichever one works and is the appropriate size for my pot supremacy.

  • This whole thing reminds me of a time in high school (tiny Christian school) where a group of kids decided to start a “gang” called the “Yo’s” and my friends decided that there needed to be a rival “gang” they called the “No’s.” Us No’s wore brown paper towels in our back pockets to show our allegiance and we picked which hallway was “ours.” Anyway, we had a mandatory assembly by the end of the day on the dangers of gang activity…

  • Spent a very enjoyable & productive day on Friday experimenting with letter-carving under the guidance of stone sculptor & letter-carver Aileen Anne Brannigan. On the EMISoS project, we are analysing the palaeography of inscriptions on cross-slabs & other stone monuments but yesterday we got to experience what it is like to actually carve these letters using various different stone types, tools & methods, which helps us to better understand the development &am...

  • Went for a shreddy. Got covered in mud. Got a flat. Walked home. The end.

  • TIL about Bab el Manteb (the strait on the other side of the Arabian peninsula from the Strait of Hormuz). Hoo boy.

  • yes I did just stab myself with an allen key, mind your business

  • CAD has rotted my brain, I just attempted to rotate 2D vector design 🫠.

  • Isn't it a bummer when someone you used to respect wrote a Linkedin post equating "disliking AI" with "a witch hunt". Oh boy.

  • RE: https://infosec.exchange/@josephcox/117508234572611914 🤣🤣🤣 Rubes

  • Went for a shred this morning. It's cool and the weather is beautiful. I'm going hard down a narrow singletrack surrounded by trees, when I almost run into two dipshit photographers who had set up tripods ON THE DAMN TRAIL. They then gave me shit for telling them that this is a closed mountainbike trail and that their behaviour is dangerous. There are signs telling folks not to enter unless on a bike. They then tried to block my partner from passing as she was coming up behind m...

  • Three good things I'm grateful for: 1. Getting decent rest last night, allowing my mind and body to return to a state of balance and clarity for the new day. 2. Sharing space and practice with my Sangha, cultivating presence and holding compassionate awareness for those who suffer. 3. The playful joy of getting my days mixed up and sneaking hot cocoa into my neighbors' kitchen, reminding me to meet our shared human moments with warmth, mischief, and non-attachment. #threegoodthings #...
