I think it&#39;s great that people are looking into OpenBSD as an alternative to Linux, now that Linus has signaled the end of its short rise to relevancy for desktop users. But the takeaway for me with everything going on, is that the principles of FOSS have failed. They are perhaps a good start, but they are easily co-opted by interests without principle or moral compass. They are far too welcoming of capital and its desire to assimilate and hollow out what makes something good.
