Hi, I'm Tineke 👋 Over the past year, linocut printing has sparked my creativity: a creative outlet away from screens. It all started with a medieval rabbit wielding an axe 🐇🪓 About the name Studio Vro: vro is an old Dutch word for cheerful/happy (vrolijk). Here I'll share my prints, my process and my search for a style of my own. #introduction #linocut #linoprint #printmaking #beginnerartist

The irony of Jews dealing with Antisemitism & Muslims dealing with Islamophobia is that Republicans hate ALL of us. They *pretend* to oppose antisemitism because it happens to be slightly more politically advantageous at the moment (plus their End Times obsession), but they’ll come for us as well. A tip for users of our experimental instance mementomori.social: You can enable the algorithmic "For you" feed from the top right corner of the Home feed. When you turn it on, it will instantly switch to a ranked feed that prioritizes posts based on who you follow, who you comment on, and what you like or boost. If you also toggle on "Include posts from people you don't follow," you'll see trending content across the Fediverse based on your interests. Unlike Trendin...

I just heard about this petition on TikTok. The House of Commons here in Canada wants to add a bill stating that any Transpeople living in a place where there are anti-Trans laws, can seek asylum here. Please sign this. https://petitions.ourcommons.ca/en/Petition/Sign/e-4268

I had the worst #day yesterday. I double booked two #dates. I canceled one of them, but the guy never got the #message.🤷♀️

Thank you @mstdn.ca, for deleting a spam post before I even read it. Perhaps it was the other two accounts that reported it to you.👍

I just had a date with a #Convoy Supporter.🙄😖 I just kept quiet and not argue. 🤫 I am just going tell you what, I wish I told him. He thought that we are living in a #Communist Socialist country. Well, the Socialism part is true. How did we get free Healthcare, for example. I tell this guy that both of my parents came from Hungary when it was invaded by Russia. First, real Communism has a dictator (No, Trudeau is not one). Dictators get chosen by the last leader and...

that new #dictator rules for life. In a #Communist system, if you say " 🤬you" to the government, you'll either get jailed or killed by a guard. There are some other things, but it's not as rosy as the Convoyers think. He also said that there is a difference between the words "racism" and "prejudice." His ideology of those two words are wrong. Yes there is a difference between the two words – Racism is discrimination against th...

#Prejudice doesn't just include race, but #gender, #age, body type, #sexuality, and #ability. And since this guy hates the media because he saw in the 80s one Sun Reporter lying about a fire going on. I worked in radio, I know that a lot of reporters checked their facts before putting it on the air. Since I was also the secretary (I was a Creative Writer and the company didn't have a receptionist), I had a few calls from listeners who said that isn't true...
