The mornings might be getting darker as we head into the heart of autumn, but it does mean my first dog walk of the day now coincides with the dawn chorus, so it's accompanied by bird song, produced by the likes of this little robin perched on a road sign. #glasgow #autumn #urbanwildlife #robin #birdsong

I went for a walk hoping to see our neighborhood heron. It was pretty far away, good thing I had a long lens! This is where Alewife Brook flows into the Mystic River. #heron #urbanwildlife #alewifebrook #mysticriver #olympuspen

As I had an office day today and the weather is sunny I decided to walk to work this morning, for the first time in ages. Along the path someone had set a fire to burn their rubbish (madness in this dry weather) which was still smouldering. Still the local rats were very appreciative of have a cooked breakfast for a change! #WalkToWork #UrbanWildlife #RatsOfMastodon #DryWeather #FireSafety #CookedBreakfast

I went to check out Little Book Transfers' exhibition at the Grateful Gallery in Glasgow today, and ran into this little fellow, who's adopted the gallery as a cool place to hang out. Apparently, he's been christened Johnny by the local school kids! #glasgow #urbanwildlife #seagull #artgallery #glasgowtoday

Spent a lovely morning with the martins the live by the Loire in Nevers, France #birds #urbanwildlife #urbanecology

Noticed a family of sparrows having what looked like a very serious debate in the tree outside my window this afternoon. I have no idea what they decided, but the intensity was impressive. #Nature #UrbanWildlife

Birds sure do have a finely tuned sense of when a camera lens is pointed at them. 👀 This robin seems to be interested in making friends today. There's also a magpie that I'd VERY much like to make friends with, who I see a lot of. 🪶 When I see the magpie next, I intend to ask them for permission before I attempt to take their photo. 🙏 #Birds #Birdwatching #BirdPhoto #Photography #UrbanPhotography #UrbanWildlife

😅 // A cracked pigeon #egg on top of Dreikönigskirche (church) in #Dresden. No idea how long it's been left like this. The #pigeon didn't seem too bothered about their former family member. #Pigeons aren't exactly known for their nest-building skills. 😅 #Taube #Stadttaube #Straßentaube #Ei #Vogelei #feralPigeon #streetPigeon #cityPigeon #pigeons #pigeonsOfMastodon #DreikönigskircheDresden #urbanWildlife #Birdsday #Birbsday
