“A proposal for the world’s largest data centre has been submitted at Chapelcross in Dumfries and Galloway. If approved, the data centre would have a capacity of 1GW - bigger than any other in the world - using 7 million MWh of energy per year, equivalent to over two million homes. If the proposal goes ahead, the data centre will put a massive strain on Dumfries and Galloway’s energy grid and destroy the local natural environment. We need your help to reject this proposal.” https://greens.scot/ChapelcrossDataCentre #DataCentres #DataCentre #DataCenter #DataCenters #ChapelcrossDataCentre #Scotland #ScottishGreens #GreenParty #Green #Greens #ClimateChange #Climate #ClimateEmergency #ClimateCrisis @ScottishGreens@mastodon.scot
