#punkovoltaics I'm currently considering would it really be so easy to make a NaFePO4 battery at home?
1.Get some thin sheet iron 2. Paint it with salty water, let it rust evenly, wash the salt off 3. Take some aluminum foil, cover with graphite 4. Separate with two sheets with baking paper, roll in a tube 5. Seal in a container 6. Add an electrolyte made with sodium acetate 7. ... 8. Profit! You have made a working rechargeable battery.
Am I wrong with it? Can the electrolyte be water based or do I need some fancy organic solvent?
