That's why the eventual solution to the #CubanMissileCrisis was unspoken agreement for both sides to back off and get their weapons out of each others faces. The current Russia–Europe confrontation might have been avoided if the history of October 1962 was better understood. NATO's quest for confrontation has been an almighty strategic disaster.
