Meanwhile in the Southern Hemisphere, the peak of winter ice in Antartica has again falls to a record low level (as it has for the last there years). As Will Hobbs (UTasmania) says: 'How sensitive is the global climate system to this loss of sea ice? We are still working to put numbers on that. But the system is changing faster than we are understanding it'. #Keizerspinguïns leven op de #ijsplaten van #Antartica. Hier groeien de kuikens op en krijgen zij hun waterproof veren. Maar door klimaatverandering smelten deze ijsplaten steeds sneller.
