I wear shoes. I know from my front hall (whatever is the correct word for room where people leave shoes, coats etc.) how much dirt shoes carry to the house. And from visiting people in the same building who don't take their shoes off. I just can't imagine why someone would choose to carry that dirt further into the house. I just couldn't get used to that. Everyone cleans their floors but obviously the floors get a lot dirtier a lot quicker if you just waltz in with your shoes you've walked around in outdoors. Flipside on where I live is cheaper land development costs for the developer (a municipality, usually). They want to cheap out since it's easier sell to the municipal voters and contractors give cheap bids in return, deciding to cheap out on the work.

Well the implementation is going to be that you prove your age to the id app that only saves the info that you’re over 18. Then the id app just tells that info to the website (or app or whatever I guess). So the site doesn’t know who is trying to prove their age or even what their age is, just that they’re over 18. It would be nice to have that sort of quick and easy app for verifying your personal information too. I don’t think we have one where I live. We always use a bank for that and that’s more hassle than I’d like
