It's not very oily, at least - I knew plenty of people with oily hair. I wouldn't say it's "dry" either but it seems like it's pretty healthy; I've never had problems with it

🤔 you may need curlers to help bring out the curls....I would look for a heat curl protectant product as a base...layering hair or thinning it (cutting layers on the underside) can help encourage curls...and if you really want curls, color your hair, doing some damage 😬 shockingly helps

Hmmm, I am getting some grays, I could go all out and dye it for a while just for the lulz and see how that goes (also a thing I've never done before)

I'm not afraid of grays (I think my hair will look supercool gray/ white) BUT if I'm going to dye it, this is a great time since it's already changing color plenty so I won't care if it doesn't look perfect or anything

Longer hair definitely weighs down any wave in your hair. If you want to enjoy more bounce in your hair, cut it shoulder length and let it scrunch up to half way between your chin and shoulders. I typically have long hair (nothing crazy long), but every now and then I like to cut it short to see more of the curls. I’ve never done bangs though. The last time I cut my hair I put framing layers in, and I was pretty pleased with how it turned out. I cut my hair myself. The best advice is cut a very small amount and see how you like it. You can always cut more, and it will always grow back.

Imagine the hair in the back is mid back length but the hair in the front is collarbone length. And everything in between is gradually fading from one length to the other. I’ll see if I can find tutorial I used!

Mine is currently a little longer than that, but the wave doesn't show, or at least not enough that I really notice, maybe I'll try cutting it to about there first to see if it comes out more. Then MAYBE I'll actually go to a stylist to layer it or something if I start seeing the wave if none of the those or other tricks people have mentioned don't work. I want to still be able to put it in a ponytail or braid (even if it's a super short braid), so as long as it's not shorter than... the shoulders... AAAAAaa
