@gruber I’ve been on AT&T since the iPhone 3G. It’s fine! Cheap plan, I never really have to talk to them, and the coverage is great in California. I certainly don’t always have reception, but it’s better than T-Mobile and I’d say 50/50 with Verizon friends, sometimes they lose coverage and sometimes I do. Really I don’t think any of them are amazing. I’ve tried US Mobile for a second line and they do have good customer service, but I don’t like being on a lower priority tier

@siracusa oh no, my Apple account said it was locked today, for the first time in a decade that I can remember. It’s contagious!

@caseyliss @marcoarment I just got a new Chevy Bolt - plenty of minor complaints, but it’s a good value. Some CarPlay options: 1) Casey, why do you assume it’s only additive for mfgs? I assume they are selling my data, and maybe getting kickbacks on charging networks they route me to. With CarPlay I would guess they lose residuals. 2) it’s not quite a bet against the smart phone, my car has Google Maps and the Play Store, and you can install Waze. 3) I added CarPlay with a USB dongle with a hack

@atpfm regarding watch surveillance, not that this should stop Apple, but they may have a Siri-like class action problem if they can the feature - they should stop pre-announcing features that aren’t done. Also surely the HomePad will have the same feature and the same issues?
