  Breezy and a little humid this morning in #Royden so not feeling particularly sprightly. Tayberry scone at Benty’s which I’m pretty sure is named for the river, not you-know-who. Walled garden quiet but busy elsewhere.

  Feeling a bit meh so v gentle poddle around #Royden. Coffee and carbs at Benty’s (where indeed they do know my name), then across the mighty Greasby for a quick explore of Irby Heath. Elsewhere, horse chestnut in leaf and bluebells blooming.

  Lovely day for a walk from Thurstaston to Heswall and back. Much less muddy than last week. Coffee at YOT then back via Heswall Fields and adjacent cliffs where this year the crop is beans (?). Egg trail underway at the visitors centre.
