The fact that NELS 54 hosted at MIT has a special session on "Experimental Methods in Linguistic Theory" tells you exactly how little elite generative grammar institutions actually think about what they're doing. Did no one notice a contradiction in their five word session title? https://linguistlist.org/issues/34/2416/ #linguistics #generativeLinguistics #nels #nels54 #mit #academicmastodon

Request for #mutualaid The Canadian government has decided that I need to pay back $2000 of the COVID relief payment (#cerb) they sent me, and they've decided the best way to do that is to garnish my current EI payments. I don't believe I rightly owe this money, and I don't know how I'll make rent etc. If this keeps up. Every little bit helps https://gofund.me/9f90a36e
