Forgot I never really shared this post over here on my thoughts about replaying #FInalFantasyVII. I really need to setup some sort of automation to post these but I also want to be able to add my own text... hmmm decisions decisions. Anyway, here's the post: https://aaronhall.tech/games/2026/final-fantasy-vii/

I did not expect to like Stuart Fails to Save the Universe as much as I am so far. I enjoyed Big Bang Theory but didn’t love most of these characters. That being said, even though it’s obviously a huge nostalgia bomb, I find myself chuckling quite frequently. It gives me Quantum Leap vibes.

Wow the #ChicagoBears look soooooooo much better with Caleb Williams back. #CHIvsATL #NFL #Sportsball

You take the penalties away and there’s little stopping the #ChicagoBears from achieving the goal set out to be the highest scoring offense ever. #NFL #Sportsball #CHIvsATL

I’ve learned that I remembered approximately 5 minutes of both Raiders of the Lost Ark and Temple of Doom. Like I know I’ve watched these both multiple times in my life but most of the story was lost to me apparently.

Got #UltimaOnline running on #Linux but whew was it not straight forward. Had to whip out some winetricks voodoo to get it where I needed so Lutris would launch it properly. Now to figure out how best to deal with playing a game from 2003 on a 4k monitor. Edit: UO came out in 1997. Age of Shadows, the version of the client I’m using, came out in 2003

I’m so far back in #Wrestling history, the crowd hasn’t started adding “You Suck” to Kurt Angle’s intro song. #WWE

First up #ARottenBit which I can only describe as like trap and EDM mixed but played through a Gameboy. It’s got some energy to it!

Man, I knew I was going to feel rough today after a late night show on a Sunday. I didn’t realize I was also going to be hit with all the soreness from Saturday’s hike on top of it. Must be Monday!

After two weeks of using the aeropress in Italy, I’ve replaced my coffee pot with a full on French press. It makes my coffee taste soooo much smoother than my old pot did.

I love that my meditation sessions end with what I describe as the gong at the beginning of the Mortal Kombat theme song. It’s healing to end it and my first words are always “Test your might” https://www.youtube.com/watch?si=iYxaZMV5NlxNuZju&v=SjWrERa4cy4&feature=youtu.be

One thing I can’t figure wrap my head around is the late night eating culture. I want to be done eating by 7 pm. The fact that some restaurants don’t even open until 7:30 just blows my mind. I’d be curious what the full story is there on how the culture developed this way.
