    Question for my emacs org-mode friends on here. Has anyone moved from org-roam to org-node ? My find-node has gotten so excruciatingly slow that I find myself writing things into the scratch instead. Googling revealed a org-node as a possible solution ... #emacs #org #orgMode #orgRoam

    This is the day. I will be moving my trusty steed over to debian 13 (hopefully all the major real-world bugs have been ironed out). So far, things are going great. Hard to believe this system started on debian 7, and dist-upgrade is all I have done. This last bump might be tough though. I have been switching DEs a lot so there are a lot of warnings about files that don&amp;#39;t exist ... fingers crossed. #debian #debian13 #debian12 #debianStable #debianMigration #software

    Privacy or Security ? Too many hardware and software companies are forcing consumers to choose one or the other. This is a false choice.     I have been using aptitude since forever. Today, however, I needed to search through installed packages and remembered just how unintuitive the syntax is! A few articles deep I learnt that good old apt-get has a new API through apt and it appears to be designed for clarity and ease of use. Should I switch? Which tool do you use?     1/ Looking at 2-bed rents in Cambridge/Somerville : $3.5–4k/month, 3x income requirement ! That puts you at ~$140k/year just to qualify.
