#3GoodThings 💈 had my haircut earlier today and it's such a relief. Even though I have short hair, I do have such weird hair, if it gets longer in my neck it sticks out to the side lol. She cut it all off and now I don't look like a startled cat in my neck anymore hehehe 🔌 bought one of those fancy plugs where you can add two usb c cables on one plug. Perfect to charge both my phone and my iPad on when we're off on vacation. 🎒 added the first things to the backpack I'll use f...

#3GoodThings 🧹 been tidying up a LOT in prep for our trip. Can't have the cat sitter face the mess I made of my office 😂 ☕️ I love how coffee makes me feel, more like the old me, with the energy to do things and not feeling like collapsing after. It's brilliant! 🛃 I haven't flown since 2017 I think, and when I checked for changes in security etc I found that one of the great things that happened since is that you can now book a security slot. This is perfect as standing for any le...

#3GoodThings 📒 I loved to write about my list making yesterday. Feels so good to talk about my madness. 🛒 even though I was sore from yoga, I did manage to walk around a shop for an hour. Also without coffee. My body definitely is doing better each day. 🍁 the trees are starting to dress in autumn. It’s not my favourite season (because winter follows and that’s my least favourite), but I do love all the wild colours that autumn brings (and the excuse to snuggle up with a warm blanket 😊 #thre...

#3GoodThings 🕰️ Today is one of those rare unicorn days where I wake up and grumble about being awake in the middle of the night again and then look at the clock and see it’s 7:04 😊 😹 my cat just meowed and my husband, asleep, mumbled, “what did you say, Syl?” 👃one of the best inventions ever: those strips on the nose that help you breathe better at night. Bloody miracles, those! I buy mine at the local discount store because they stick better than the name brand ones, definite good thing! #...

#3GoodThings #ThreeGoodThings 🍽️ Had some delicious tikka masala yesterday and I’m still smiling about it today. Another thing of note: my stomach wasn’t upset at all! (Upset stomach is a side effect of my meds) ✏️ I love to doodle with pencil! After weeks of doodling with pen, it felt so good! 🧑🧒🧒 having dinner with my brother and sister later today! Yum! Sushi!

#3GoodThings 🧶 played with yarn a lot, made a square and did some nalbinding. 🧣sitting on the sofa wrapped in a warm blanket is SUCH a good thing! (why is there no blanket emoji?) 🥔 my husband found me crisps made of just potato and a vegetable oil and they are delicious! Yay for salt and sugar free crisps! (also, why is there no crisps emoji? 🤣)

#3GoodThings 1. Feeling a bit better this morning, the sneezes have finally subsided, at least 2. I've set up a spinning spice bin as my "everyday tools" storage on my desk. It's fantastic, I love that I have everything I need ready to be grabbed and used. Spinning it around is almost a reward hehehe 3. I was wide awake at 4, and decided to add a template to my some.pics page. Felt like the right time as I now use it as a pixelfed replacement

#3GoodThings 1. I’m recovering from the cold, so happy about that. Goes to show that focusing on rest is the best medicine. 2. Creating a second blog to prevent overwhelm was the best decision. I could just write without the noise of my main blog. May be ready to return soon. 3. A day started with a cat curled up in my lap and bright sunlight peeking into the room through a split in the curtains is no doubt going to be a good day!

#3GoodThings I'm currently in denial of getting a cold, so it's good to focus on good things! 1. the sun streaming into the bedroom. 2. the way the light turns her fur almost brown, despite looking black otherwise. 3. stardew valley is such a delightful distraction

#3GoodThings 1. I've once again proven that coffee really helps me manage the fatigue side effects of my meds. I'm so happy! 2. I finally own Hollywood, Ending by John Green. 3. Being in the heart of Amsterdam again was the greatest joy of all of yesterday. My husband had to go there for work and I hitched a ride :)

#3GoodThings 1. Coffee is the nectar of the gods and it helps me manage the constant fatigue so much better (this alone is worth a blog post!) 2. I'm SO happy that I'm a natural list maker. I'm planning our first airplane trip in many many years and everry time I get anxiety about it I can dive into my lists and know I have everything under control! 3. I'm so happy I found more wool to fuel my nålebinding experimentations!

#3GoodThings 1. my cats KNOW when I'm anxious. They curl up next to me :) 2. knitting is such a good thing. I make sure to always put it down when I feel good about it. Somehow that makes me feel good when picking it up again. 3. I'm so proud of 1.5 months of constant blogging!

#3GoodThings 1. just had some amazing tea my sister gave me. It's brilliant 2. started to knit some candy colour fingerless gloves. Wear those things so often in winter that I like to have a choice :) 3. the wild meows of our cat when my husband comes home. I swear she starts meowing even before he puts his key in the lock.

This post by Kurzgesagt is so disturbing. They make videos without AI, yet an AI moderator marked their video as slop, and has stopped showing the video to subscribers. This is so worrying. Every time I look at the sidebar of YouTube videos, I see videos with thousands of views from vague channels that look very slop-y and those videos get recommended while those by real creators seem to get shadowbanned. My doom-thinking mind can't help but think that it won't be long before AI cre...

So sad at hearing of Glen Hansard's passing. Feels right to share the tiny desk concert (which was where I first fell in love with his music, I think) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IFlMFVwgIQI
