My #3dprintingwaste box arrived so I was finally able to sort out my overflowing wastebasket. I left a bunch of the #filamentpoop just because its harder to make sure the PLA and PETG ones are separated. While paying £54 for the privilege of #recycling my own waste initially seems like a lot it covers all the logistics returning the box as well. Hopefully I won't be filling them up that fast! Today I'm experimenting to see if I can avoid learning #freecad and instead just #vibe in #openscad to add handles to a #gridfinity baseplate.

Working in code is much easier than trying to align and drop things with the #freecad tools. I need a better way cut out the excess though - some sort of plane operation? I think I'll use more #openscad in future. https://github.com/stsquad/gridfinity-rebuilt-openscad/tree/add-handle

Some days the challenge isn't the code but the tools that build the code.... #buildsystem #hacking

#qemu's #usermode #emulation is now officially orphaned with its #linux and #bsd parts having been set at "Odd Fixes" for some time now. We know usermode is heavily used by cross compilers and compilers for unit testing but the current lack of maintainer cover is unsustainable in the long term.
