I’ve written my most beautiful piece. It’s a shame I’ll never be able to publish it. Or maybe I’ll add it to the list of things to be published "after my death". Maybe I’ll have to create that archive…

I look at the bathroom mirror. My hairbrush is still there. I smile. How many years has it been since I last used it? And no, I don’t think I’ll ever use it again. And yet it’s still there. It will stay there.

Sometimes it would be nice to stop smiling, just for a few minutes, and show what’s really inside. But no, not today. Today we smile and keep saying that everything is fine. Because, deep down, it really is. Maybe.

This instance is currently running from a VPS. I'm not sure it'll stay here, as it's just a test. I'm just demonstrating to myself (and the world that): SmartOS (so illumos based OSes) can run on an 1 euro per month vps (that's the price I pay, not the current price)- SmartOS (so illumos bases OSes) can run on 1 GB Ram, with ZFS and all the cool features So yes, ZFS loves ram. But doesn't need that much ram to run, especially on illumos #IT #SysAdmin #Testing #illumos

This is the first time this instance will spend a night out of my house. I feel like a worried parent of a teenager 🙂 #Fediverse #Test

I should have done it fifteen years ago. It would have been a better, simpler experience. Today I regret not having done it. Perhaps I could do it today. It will undoubtedly be more dangerous and, in some ways, less interesting. But I’m afraid that, in fifteen years, I might regret not having done it. Life is full of crossroads.

This hot week includes an important appointment. On the hottest day of the week. When I will take a shower five minutes before leaving and start sweating as soon as I step out of the car. The question is whether it will be hotter outside or inside. And this isn’t a trivial question.

The LockAn empty wardrobe, a rescued pendulum clock, and a lingering scent in the kitchen. Closing a door, forcing the key a little, and leaving a piece of life behind. https://my-notes.dragas.net/2026/05/31/the-lock/ #MyNotes #Memories #Life #Reflections #Blogging

It’s thundering outside. Choosing to already be at home was the right choice. I eagerly await the reassuring, rhythmic melody of the rain.

Thunderstorm approaching…

Here, lots of rain and wind. Around, just a few kilometers away, serious damage. Usually these were violent summer events. The rains in May and early June used to be more regular and less abrupt. But the climate is changing, and we will have to deal with it.

Now playing: Downton Abbey’s grand finale
-
View post
Finished. Downton Abbey has somehow witnessed various stages of my life. I think of when I watched the first episodes, far away in space and time. Of when I watched it again, in a previous life. Seen again in the penultimate life. And tonight I watched the finale, in the new phase of life I am in. Well, it’s time to go to bed. Good night, world!

What a strange day. My mood went through extreme swings, quite different from usual.

The Last Shift A forgotten cotton swab in an old cabinet brings back the memory of a terrifying afternoon on the road, the indifference of crowds, and the quiet dignity of a stranger's last day at work. https://my-notes.dragas.net/2026/05/06/the-last-shift/ #MyNotes #Life #Memories #Reflections
