Here to share my art and crafts.

As for subjects— I really like plants, animals, fungi, clouds, humor, coziness and levity. But I live in the core of a colonial empire bent on destroying this planet for profit, so a lot of my art is related to that.

I pretty much only boost arts, crafts, & direct aid fundraisers.

Some keywords 4 types of art I enjoy: political, practical, amateur, upcycled, queer, cute, handmade, vividly colored, nerdy, vegan, botanical.

Alt-text always, "AI" art never.

Wanted to experiment with printing on fabric rather than paper so I carved a few of these round badges for patterns and shirt pockets. Got any suggestions for short punchy phrases that could be added to this collection? (max length two lines of 6 characters each, shorter better) #printMaking #fabricArts #politicalArt

RE: https://metroholografix.ca/@snailrageprints/116785897387236051 The green things on top of the strawberry are sepals. I haven't actually studied enough strawberries closely enough to know if it is possible for this fruit to have just five sepals, as they often have many more. But the five sepals in this print represent the five governorates of Gaza. From north to south they are: North Gaza, Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis, Rafah. Continuing genocidal violence, and the horrible, enc...

Palestinians in Gaza deserve to live. (Besides stopping our govermments & institutions from arming and funding their killers,) We can help them survive by directly supporting their fundraisers and mutual aid projects. I don't have money, but I do have my art. So I want to try something: #GreetingCards4Gaza I carved this design to represent Gaza on two linoleum blocks and hand printed the cards with plant-based inks. I will send these cards to people who donate to Palestinians in Gaza....

I tabled at my first ever zine fest this weekend! My favorite thing was how many people were up for trading zines.

@WikimediaIE@mastodon.ie just FYI, your alt text doesn't seem to match the posted image. The image is a festive group wearing green, but it's a bunch of kids— no beers, big crowds, city buildings or leafy trees are visible.

I first heard of the anti-choice "March for Life" a number of years ago and it made me so angry, cartoon steam shot out my ears. I enjoy comics, and had been reading a simple new one about aliens learning about and commenting on human quirks and culture. I happened to look up the author and discovered that the "cause" of restricting other people's reproductive healthcare was "close to [his] heart". So I channeled my rage into this parody comic, which I just unea...

I got a used sizzix (hand crank die cut machine) for use as a tiny press to make prints. Slowly but surely learning how to get a decent amount of pressure. #linocut #printmaking #linoprinting #beginner #humanArt

After choosing a name like Snail Rage Prints, I figured I should make at least one piece featuring a snail. The eponymous snail with some silliness. #linocut #art #pink #gastropods #snail

Sure, I know *you* know about the Fediverse. But I'm pretty pleased with how this one turned out and am looking forward to making into a zine.

@praetor@mstdn.social It's not irony, it's imperialism™️ - popularity has nothing to do with u.s. policy or action - the u.s. economy runs on the expansion of colonial exploitation, both domestically and all over the world - the u.s. government protects and serves that economic model with extreme violence - propaganda romanticizes the imagery you mention. enough people fall for it and/or are coerced by poverty and circumstance into joining the military to staff the constant wars and &quo...
