    I keep seeing comments like &#39;how can we replace Schumer? when can he be primaried?&#39; The Senate leadership can be changed whenever, they just have to pick somebody else. There is nothing mysterious going on, there&#39;s no delayed electoral process that is keeping him there. He&#39;s the minority leader because most Senate Democrats support him, that&#39;s it.
