I moved from Raycast since they made it non-native and bad. Tinycast is a great native replacement: https://github.com/abue-ammar/tinycast

Node.js has FFI support now, which makes it possible to implement native integrations without all the build problems that comes with native addons. For example, I just made https://github.com/sindresorhus/finder-alias

Due to AI, I have disabled external pull requests on all my repos. Open source, as we have known it, was fun while it lasted. (It’s been 15 years for me) I will still maintain projects and handle issues.

iPhone Duo is so unnecessary And it creates so much useless work for developers. There, I said it. It's changing stuff for the sake of it. Same with the upcoming touchscreen MacBook.

First-mover advantage used to buy you years. Now it buys you a head start at best. U can spend months understanding a niche problem and building something thoughtful, and someone else can recreate a decent version in days just by copying what’s visible, and sell it for cheaper. So being first isnt the edge. The edge is taste, trust, distribution, and going deeper than whats obvious from a quick glance at the UI. Surface ideas get cloned. Depth is harder.
