@rasterweb it's tough initially. You do get a sense over time of when it's worsened beyond just allergies. But also getting on a regular antihistamine regimen will help stave some of that uncertainty off. Assuming you're talking seasonal allergies, you'll also develop a sense for what time of year it hits the worst and what your symptoms tend to be.

@MmeLibertine @breakfastgolem omg ❤️❤️❤️ I am! Getting geared up for the first of several lipedema surgeries in August. I have been quiet because life has been Too Much and most of my social media energy is going towards kpop crashouts on threads at the moment. Thank you for remembering me ❤️

Rumors of my assimilation have been greatly exaggerated ❤️ Life has officially been Too Much and I have pretty much been focusing most of my social media energy on crashing out about kpop on Threads lately. (Yes yes I know. threads is where this happens though and Stray Kids/Ateez discourse is absolutely required for my sanity right now)

I dunno that these are tips exactly but here are the things that were key for me: -finding a thing I actually like doing (biggest hurdle tbh) and wanted to do more of -getting a trainer who listens to me - knowing when to stop pushing is just as important as knowing when to push -picking regular days to go -music that makes me want to move (and makes me feel fierce and powerful)

Fashion asymmetries and proportion tricks I can live with: -crop tops -capri pants -tshirts off one shoulder -bolero or other jackets that look intentionally short And ones I find extremely upsetting: -cropped blazers that look like they took scissors to a whole blazer -a top where one side/arm is a jacket -wearing a hoodie half on -pants w the highwater crop -cropped sweatshirts -pockets on only one side of a garment -asymm. gowns where one side is long sleeve and the other is no sleeve

Welp, general consensus amongst my medical/brain team is that I'm on the spectrum. (Can't have AuDHD without "u"! Or something) I'm still processing this. Feels like it did when I found out I had adhd.

the phrase "durable medical goods" has the same cadence and number of syllables as "follow the yellow brick road." Do with that that you will.
