RE: https://mastodon.social/@daringfireball/117055492094357350 I have an update with 20+ bug fixes waiting for review since Sunday. Now I have another large batch of bug fixes I'm looking to submit ASAP afterwards. Compare this to the web, where I could be shipping these bug fixes hourly.

Anyone had any luck with Siri AI and AppShortcuts? AppShortcuts have historically been recommended for integrating custom AppIntents with Siri that aren't relevant to a SiriKit or AppIntent schema domain. This integration has always been really iffy, but it seems even worse with Siri AI. Typing in or dictating the exact phrase often fails or leads to Siri doing something stupid.

UISearchController has always been problematic… New Feedback: "iOS 26.5, 26.6, 27.0 Crash - [UISearchController _setInlineSearchAccessoryEnabled:] aborts ("search text field already borrowed") when a bottom search re-presents before the prior presentation returned the field" FB24522296

After six and a half years, Foodnoms has officially hit $50K MRR. The grind never stops. Still working to make the product better every day. I love this little app. Glad others do too!

Ok so the new Pride band… 1. How much does this really cost to make? It's $49 but looks it costs less than $5 to make. 2. If I were to see it on the street, I don't know if I would recognize it as "Pride". 3. I think Apple could do a lot better than vague statements like "Apple is proud to financially support organizations that serve LGBTQ+ communities." Why not also say "all proceeds go to X, Y, and Z organizations"?

RE: https://mastodon.social/@pfandrade/116527625920694726 "AppKit was ahead of its time and UIKit was a more polished version of AppKit. A serious cross-platform framework that unified the two should have happened long before SwiftUI." I still believe the ideal strategy would have been: 1. Get UIKit to full parity with AppKit. 2. Deprecate AppKit. 3. Architect SwiftUI as a declarative layer on top of UIKit, not as an alternative. Refactor UIKit as needed to make the integrat...

Mac Catalyst seems dead to me. Five months since Tahoe’s official release and I still have crashes, ugly layouts and glitches that weren’t a problem pre-Liquid Glass. I see no option other than build an entirely new SwiftUI-native Mac App.

Foodnoms as a native Mac app is coming along nicely. What do you think?

@schwa that's actually on my radar. And/or MCP
-
View post
@schwa I know people say that but MCP is still convenient with auth and the standard for these sorts of integrations.
-

@schwa I already said why in my response. You're coming off quite aggressive here… I haven't made any formal plans yet.
