It's really bugging me how Apple decided to stagger different features across the iPhone 17, 17e, and 16. For example, the 17E has the latest chip like the 17, but does not have Dynamic Island, and lacks the dual camera that the 16 and 17 have. The 17E also has better battery life than the 16, yet is $100 cheaper than the 16. Like....what? #iPhone #Apple

Thought I had finally found a church I liked and was completely comfortable at. This evening the pastor sent out an email asking folks to vote against the amendments on the ballot pertaining to abortion and gay marriage. Ugh. Back to the drawing board.

I really don't understand how local governments continue flagrantly ignoring such an intensely bipartisan opposition to #DataCenters. The fact that both sides of the aisle agree on this one issue should tell them something, yet they don't seem to be afraid of losing their seats in the next elections. Ohhh, right. At the end of the day, Republican voters are STILL more scared of trans people than they are outraged about data centers.

Remember when people thought Anthropic were supposedly the "good guys" in the LLM scene? LOL.

Recently re-discovered The Hu! "Wolf Totem" will always be a classic but the newer stuff is fire as well! #music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWwXmuAYAbQ&list=RDxWwXmuAYAbQ&start_radio=1&pp=ygUGVGhlIEh1oAcB

The discrepancy between how Republican voters view America and how the rest of the world views America couldn't be more stark. We think we're the badasses, but then you see the French refusing to be ignored by their government and not taking no for an answer, and it becomes obvious that WE are the cucks and cowards.

Definitely feeling my mood improving steadily with the arrival of true fall weather; cool, crisp, dry air and leaves turning lovely colors. Cozy season!

Thoughts on the new #Mastodon web user interface? I'd make some very minor tweaks but overall I'm digging it. I wonder though if it will come with account switching, that would be enough for me to consider ditching Elk.zone as my Mastodon web interface.

It's a shame that Virginia Democrats, by getting in bed with data center developers, have forfeited making real inroads in rural, traditionally red parts of the state and taking advantage of bipartisan opposition to these things. Talk about a wasted opportunity. #Virginia

RE: https://social.vivaldi.net/@rvergo/117288710142591419 Huh. The issue dates back to the iOS 27 beta from three months ago. 🤔 https://www.iphoneincanada.ca/2026/06/19/ios-27-wireless-carplay-glitches-are-a-nightmare/

Welp. It looks like #iOS27 broke #CarPlay in my Kia. Was working great up until the upgrade and now won't connect. Tried deleting my Bluetooth connection and re-establishing it, to no avail. Womp womp.

There needs to be a study of voters (like those in New York) who refuse to fire Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries. It has to be that both of them throw lots of money and beneficial projects to their home districts, and these voters just won't see the forest for the trees. Like, the country is bigger than New York.
