  Nix. Why do I even try? The wiki gives you 9 different ways to do anything, at least 4 of which don't work, without explaining why you'd choose one over another. I just want a fucking package manager. error: undefined variable 'pnpm_12' Statements of the truly deranged. That's not a fucking variable -- it's a fucking package name.

  Fucking computers. On my Mac, "pnpm i" is just ... hanging. And my Windows laptop "ran into a problem and needs to restart". What with fighting with nix yesterday, that's 6 hours wasted on a formatting problem on my blog. Couldn't even persuade it to work in a container -- it just fails at different points while installing node modules. I'm *this* close to putting my fist through £2K's worth of laptop...   Decided to migrate my blog from Astro to Hugo. There was just something that didn't feel right about Astro. I couldn't put my finger on what that was, though. Hugo, on the other hand, seems to mostly just work. I might even have it finished in a day or so.

  For some reason 'git rebase' is getting my commits out of order. I'm rebasing 'wip' on 'main' (from which it is derived). The commits in 'wip' are in a given order, according to 'git log'. The commit in question is near the beginning. The rebase is moving that earlier commit to much later, and causing a merge conflict.
