Perhaps I'm being silly, but [less] with scroll bars would be a nice thing to have. Not even clickable, necessarily, but just a visual indication of the size and position of the viewport vs the size of the document. P.S., I am occasionally a very silly person. https://polymaths.social/@rl_dane/statuses/01M5QWY6H3STZMZ2A7678FP4FQ

Can no longer download some Play Store apps using the anonymous Aurora Store account. Can no longer use my old spare gmail account without giving Google my cell number. Can no longer sign up for a new gmail account without giving Google my cell number. This is not normal. This is not ok. What the actual flaming forking fork?

Hey #NetBSD guys, How do you set up #WireGuard? wg-quick isn't available for NetBSD from what I can tell. I got wireguard-go to create the tun0 interface, but when I try to feed the config file to it, I get a parsing error: rld@discovery:~$ doas wg setconf tun0 /etc/wireguard/protonvpn.conf Line unrecognized: `Address=10.~~~.~~~.~~~/32,2a07:~~~~::2:2/128' Configuration parsing error rld@discovery:~$ (~~~=redacted) #BSD #RunBSD

@computerchronicles@mastodon.social Hah, 1985 was better than 1995! ๐ Man, the years after Sculley until Steve's re-introduction in 1997 were so lost and clueless. Well, kind of like Apple now, except that they're killing it, financially (not that anyone should care about that). I recently heard some rumblings that Apple is maybe paying influencers to promote the new super-expensive folding iPhone? If it's true, I'm absolutely shocked.

I've got my eye out for some cheap #soda Coke is getting stupidly expensive for what it is. I was at Aldi the other day, and I saw some diet root beer, and bought it excitedly and took it home. I didn't realize until I tasted it that it was root beer flavored sparkling water. It literally tasted like someone poured some soda water into a glass, took a root beer flavored Dum-Dum (lollipop), and swizzled it around in the soda water and served it. Rather underwhelming. ๐ I distinctly re...

More #NetBSD thoughts: I'm an #i3wm / #sway or #KDE #Plasma guy. I tried #OpenBSD's default wm for about a minute, but it was just too jarring for me. I also used #cwm for a while, and it's actually nicely configurable, but I eventually reverted to i3 on OpenBSD. I haven't tried Sway yet, but #Wayland's supposedly working in "Fish Linux" now. ;) But #ctwm? Look, it's pretty ancient, and it's not a totally perfect fit for my worfklow, but I'm actually k...

Stupid network printer only works if I power-cycle it every time I go to print, from any computer in the houseCode up a little bash one-liner to ping the printer every 3 seconds and display a '#' if it's up and a ' ' if it's downPrinter starts working reliably because my pings are keeping it alive somehow?!?!?PROFIT!!!
