    Drexel University of Philadelphia owns the Academy of Natrual Science Museum a 214 year old establishment of US natural history. It announced at the beginning of September 2026 that the doors will be closed on the 27th. They didn&amp;#39;t seek funding from alums, from donors, from the greater Philadelphia community...heck...they didn&amp;#39;t tell anyone, not even museum staff until making the initial public announcement!
