  It seems as if Meta/Facebook is going to merge accounts across Facebook, Instagram, etc. Threads wasn't explicitly mentioned, so wonder if that will come along with Instagram. I wonder if this will affect identity at all. #facebook #instagram

  I lost about 40 lbs recently. When I first got married I was in pretty good shape — muscular, fit. After we had kids, I started to get out of shape. I lost a lot of the muscle I had. And, started to get fat. Recently I lost about 40 lbs in about 2 to 2½ months. Which is rapid weight loss. I did it mostly through: calorie deficit. I probably went a bit too fast, as I lost some muscle, too. But, since then I have been weight lifting and putting the muscle back on.

  There is a comparison that can be made between ActivityPub and Event-Sourcing. 1/ With Event-Sourcing, your source-of-truth is an append-only series of events. Ex: USER_REGISTERED, EMAIL_ADDRESS_VERIFIED, PASSWORD_CHANGED, etc. In ActivityPub, this is similar to the inbox, outbox, etc being an append-only series of Activity.   It seems as if the uploadMedia ActivityPub extension does not provide a way to resume an upload that didn't previously compete. https://www.w3.org/wiki/SocialCG/ActivityPub/MediaUpload If, for example, you are working with large files (such as video files) this would matter. Because if you uploaded 1GB, and the upload stopped, you would want to resume at where it stopped, and not have to upload from the beginning again. This would be important for ActivityPub C2S adoption. #ActivityPub...

  @julian I am asking the question because — My understanding of JSON-LD (which could be mistaken) is that — Because "preferredUsername" is (assumingly) a xsd:string, then "preferredUsernameMap" is automatically also valid. (I.e., the *Map construct is a JSON-LD thing.) .
