Kinda off topic, but I saw a new Vincent Price documentary this week and learned that he was grey listed during the red scare, and turned to horror movies because he couldn't get cast in "mainstream" productions. Their loss, our gain I'd say. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt46662749/ #monsterdon

It's monsterdon time, and I'm around to participate tonight. We'll be finishing up Vincent Price October with "The Haunted Palace" one of Roger Corman's Edgar Allen Poe inspired* films from 1963. So, in about 30 minutes my toots per hour rate will temporarily skyrocket, and there will be little to not context if you're not watching the flick, so be warned (hashtag filters are your friend). *FYI wikipedia says it's actually based on an H. P. Lovecraft story....

In about an hour I will be participating in this week's #Monsterdon watch party. We'll be watching House on Haunted Hill (1959) the first movie in October's Vincent Price fest. Things I know: There will be a house, likely on a hill, possibly haunted.
Things I don't know: Will this be really good, kinda good, so bad it's good, or just bad?
Anyway, looking forward to finding out. Join, filter or block, the choice is completely yours. #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

I went back and finished The Wizard of Mars. I had maybe 30 minutes of the movie left. Of that I think about 15 minutes where essentially a John Carradine word salad monologue (I wonder how much he got paid for that?). Followed by maybe 2 whole minutes of non walking/stand action and then repeated scenes of running through the same tunnel set over and over culminating in a "it was all a dream" snap ending. Glad I didn't stay up. #Monsterdon #MonsterdonDoubleFeature
