  My SURP will be an agricultural robot. For now it will have 4 wheels driven by two DC motors, a raspberry pi, and a oak d lite I got with a voucher from a 3d printing contest at printables. Not sure where I am going with this but the business plan doesn't matter: what matters is that I refresh my robotic skills 🤖

  @benroyce@mastodon.social I really like such historical perspectives. I also like the part of Plato's Laws where he says that the rich shouldn't have more than 4 times what the poor have otherwise social unrest will follow. He said it more than 2000 years ago. Reminds us that progress is not inevitable, but is a constant struggle. In some ways, we actually regressed compared to some previous civilizations

  Not doing much 3D printing contests lately, but I couldn't say no to the HP Otto robot contest on Printables. So I made a Mr Potato remix of the robot. The accessories only need SVG drawings (using inkspace for example) and Prusaslicer. This is much more beginner friendly than CAD for drawing.   I finally finished this big project I have been working on and off for a couple of years. It is a 2 meter wide chandelier designed for the inclined ceiling of my living room. It has 84 individual leds, each in a brass tube hanging from aluminum profiles. The center is made with #3dprinting , using some PETG-GF. Happy how it looks, and relieved it is done 😅
