    Mount MANAIA - my home MAUNGA in Northland, New Zealand. Living in Te Taitokerau (Northland), specifically in Whangarei, gave us many opportunities to explore this stunning place. My hubby has often climbed the CHIMNEY in his youth. Does the CHIMNEY at MANAIA mean anything to someone reading this? 1st pic: Mt Manaia 2nd Short description 3rd Abfab view from the SE side platform (own collection). Our indeginous people - MAORI (Ngatiwai) - have beautiful legends about this MAUNGA (mount).
