    I quite like the archetype of effeminate men who are are respected as badasses instead of treated like jokes, like Oren Pierre Alfonzo from Kamen Rider Gaim and Sylvando (Sylvie) from Dragon Quest XI. (Although Gaim did have a few moments that leaned into joke-y territory)

    Le Guin&#39;s The Dispossessed, the amatonormativity brought the experience down for me... A personal problem, I suppose... I hear the Left Hand of Darkness is kind of the opposite in that regard so maybe I&#39;d enjoy reading that next.
