    Starlink&#39;s insane (non) math: As a service, the biggest value jump starts at an initial 10 kbps: Back of beyond telemetry. Then it is 2x better at 100 kbps: Usable slow net anywhere. And 2x better at 1 Mbps and 2x more again at 10 Mbps, usable decent net anywhere. And only 1.5x thereafter

    It is worse. It only takes a non-trivial minority (I&#39;d say 10-20%) of student LLMing their way through college to destroy the value of all newly minted degrees. We owe it to our honest majority of students to go HARD on keeping this crap out of the educational system. CS is especially bad...     It always struck me as strange that NY City didn&#39;t switch to a containerized strategy for trash collection decades ago. Not a NYer, but how much of that was corruption encouraging maintenance of a less efficient system: Containerized pickup has more CAPEX but far less OPEX.
