  This morning I tested my backup recovery in my #homelab @homelab I restored FreshRSS into a separate namespace to avoid conflicting with the live deployment. * Velero restored the k8s resources and the app volumes (extensions) * Barman (CNPG) rebuilt the database from its own backup * I logged into FreshRSS, checked my data, and everything worked as expected Restoring is the only way to know a backup works!

  New in my #homelab When Renovate bumps a Helm chart, the PR gets a comment showing what will actually change in my cluster: not a diff of the upstream chart, but of the final manifests rendered with my values.yaml, old vs new, before I merge. HowTo? on each PR, the CI checks out main and the PR branch and swaps SOPS values for typed placeholders. Then flate renders the #Flux HelmReleases on both sides with my values, and the diff is posted as a PR comment. https://github.com/home-operations/f...
