  Is there any way to restore sticky degraded rubber surfaces? I have a MIDI controller keyboard that I have cleaned in the past with disinfectant alcohol wipes, which I know is a bad idea because it degrades the rubber over time. Well, the rubber on the pitch bend and modulation wheels has indeed degraded, and the surfaces texture is awful, uneven and sticky now. My fault... I know. So does anyone know of any way to fix, or even improve, this kind of nasty rubber surface degradation once it...

  I kind of disagree. How can you be certain a person in is a certain age without determining who that person is? The local AI concept is flawed, as is anything that relies on trusting the user. If you want to be certain that someone is over 18 at some point you need a government ID or birth certificate, and at that point you know a hell of a lot more about them than their age. This is identity verification.

  What's their motivation? "Protecting the children" from pictures of boobs? Doubtful. Instead, I think the AI companies are looking for ways to more easily distinguish human-made "content" from bot-made content, in order to decrease the amount of generative slop that ends up being fed back into their training data.

  I do hate unregulated capitalism. But that's not the only problem, even people in the non-profit space, as well as the supposed "communists" of the CCP in China are using and abusing machine learning techniques for the purposes of surveillance, oppression and exploitation. It's not the technology's fault, obviously. But at that point this becomes a bullshit "guns don't kill people, people kill people" argument.
