  Growing up surrounded by civil servants in a family where nobody had that type of job (salary, benefits), I get really irritated when they frame certain things as the CAN’T get that or have that until their benefits reset. You absolutely CAN, you just have to pay for it like the rest of us. And since they make a lot more than the rest of us AND already had some treatment paid for by benefits, they’re probably in a much better position to afford it than the rest of us.

  I had an interaction with an employee yesterday that with some time, and space, I can now recognize was abusive. I left the conversation feeling very disoriented. Every issue I responded to, they would interject something tangential or tell me unrelated information about how other employees think I’m a nightmare. I couldn’t pin one topic down to be resolved.   I just took #DoodleBoy out for a walk on his own, to get his training back on track. I ALWAYS forget how quickly concepts are absorbed without the distraction of the park or our other dog. It makes complete sense, I just conveniently forget it whenever I’m feeling too run down to walk them separately.

  At some point in the not too distant future, I will need to replace the 30 year old dental crowns that replaced my front upper teeth that were destroyed in an accident of sorts. I’d hoped that when the time came, I’d be able to afford to do matching veneers for the rest of my teeth.
