we’re visiting my brother in chicago, and we did our first escape room together. we survived and escaped mars, apparently! it was a lot of fun, and we finished ahead of the deadline with only a few hints early on in the process. 10/10 would get stranded on mars again.

today marks a full 10 years that i’ve been married to this amazing woman. madi has been my best friend for more than a decade now, and i hope she can stand to keep me around for at least a few more. this is the person i want to grow old with. ❤️

madi and i made it back home to raleigh, already missing chicago fiercely. but there is some quiet joy in the return to normalcy and our home. on a whim, i shot a quick time-lapse out of the window during taxi and takeoff. i don’t always get the window seat, and the city was amazingly visible from my perspective too. great weather, and a (mostly) smooth flight.
