Is it crazy to trade in an M1 iPad Pro for one of the new minis? The size of the mini is fantastic for reading, but not great for much else.

Loving that Sony added cloud streaming to the PlayStation Portal, but it really shines a light on how lacking the library is. Happy to play Last of Us Part I while away from home, though. I’m surprised how well it works on a 20 Mb/s connection in a remote area of Arkansas, too

Loved this workbench in the greenhouse at a family friend's house. The lighting, colors, and utility stood out; you can't fake this aesthetic.

I would love to understand why the Rivian de-rates while charging so early and so aggressively. It’s 30 degrees out, so I can’t imagine it’s the ambient temp causing it. It has to be the most frustrating part of road trips with this vehicle.

A month into running the UNAS Pro, and I’m darn happy. The price is right for a 7-bay 2U NAS, and paired with an Intel NUC or similar, it runs laps around equivalent Synology setups. It leaves a bit to be desired on the feature side, but performance and reliability have been great so far.

Verizon now offers a second line for $10 a month. For an eSIM on a major carrier, this is the lowest rate I’ve found. Perfect for keeping your personal and work numbers separate without needing a second phone!

I’ve really enjoyed the Rivian’s adaptive high beams, but found it difficult to explain without seeing it firsthand. This Reddit post is a great example of how the high beams work, using fog to clearly show what they’re doing. Such an awesome feature! https://www.reddit.com/r/Rivian/s/cKAmbezqcr

I’m torn between an Apple Watch and a Garmin as my daily driver. I seem to switch between the two every year, for some reason. I’m leaning towards the Apple Watch for 2025. Will my watch selection impact how much time I spend outdoors?
