  Ah, there's a new JSON endpoint at the NYT that has the solution and #Wordle number. I can finally fully automate my wordle bot (which I have to run manually after I play at the moment.) I should make a Mastodon version of the bot too.

  A #project for the #projects tag would be my #Python #AdventOfCode leaderboard parser and Dash-based dashboard. aoc_scoreboard parses the private leaderboard json into a dataframe, etc. aoc_dashboard can turn that into a (ok-looking) #Plotly Dash web app https://github.com/astrowonk/aoc_scoreboard My live version of the Dash app can accept user-uploaded JSON: https://marcoshuerta.com/dash/aoc/

  @dawbird It's like the live countdown timers on some sites (thinking of one mattress company in particular) "this deal expires in x hours" when, in fact, the deal is evergreen.

  @MattHodges it’s a little easier for me if I pull the JSON into pandas and work with a data frame. I am trying a simple boost or fave count / follower count metric for now. I am not quite sure how far back to go though. (And the fetch_next helper function worked fine for me)
