Hotel rooms have TVs so I have access to a TV which is fairly rare nowadays, and there was Mission: Impossible on (2 I believe). Man, this movie really aged like fine milk.

So let's say you are a security researcher and, working with a "frontier model", you find a critical bug in a very widely used system X. In doing so, you have provided the model with the missing input (whatever text you entered) to help it extrude the program proving the vulnerability. That model was provided by a company that has every incentive to merge your input into the training set, and you have at best a pinky promise that they won't. How much would you b...

Is anyone I know here going to #PyconFR next week?

Aight, on my way to #pyconfr. Despite absolutely foreseeable circumstances entirely under my control (me getting up too late) I made it to the first train of the day.

Which reminds me: we are getting closer to the third #CodeIsArt no-AI software developer meetup in #Villeurbanne / #Lyon! We have talks lined up in #Python and #Processing, more info and sign up at: - https://keskonfai.fr/events/46f4f913-50ae-4183-9971-adf346c0776e - https://www.meetup.com/code-is-art/events/316725524/ Because we love coding. Because code is a means of communication and building a shared understanding of the world. Because we can do better: https://marcinkaszynski.com/blog/2026/...

I bought this watch as my first smart watch as soon as this model came out in 2015. It has seen a lot of places since, done fairly serious kilometers. A couple of years ago I dropped it and it fell flat on its face, chipping off part of it and leaving a couple of cracks, I fixed it with a dab of uv resin. A year later I dropped it again, had to use more resin and start using screen protectors to protect me from the screen (a sharp edge here, a shard there). It still works just fine.

The more I interact with people who use LLMs to work on codebases which I know and they don’t the more I empathize with doctors facing patients who use the Internet for the diagnosis and treatment ideas.

The Vercel/context.ai security issue: I am more than a little peeved that people tend to point to AI only where it sounds useful. “The attacker must have used AI to breach us so badly and quickly” sure sure, could someone ask about the software delivery process at context.ai? To what degree it depends on LLMs, what is their review process, how do they manage risk?

The trouble with AI is that eventually you run out of other people’s data.
