I'm missing the near-daily posts by @auschwitzmuseum -- anyone know what's up? Are they ok? I won't say those posts were the highlight my day (they are grim), but I always wanted to read them.

@ccczh The next Chaosseminar (https://www.ccczh.ch/aktivitaeten/chaosseminar/hs_2026-10-14_ctf/) is coming up! On 14 October, Marspiter will talk about Capture The Flag (CTF). On 21 October, Stephan Neuhaus will take apart a decade of quantum factorisation "records": how many of the celebrated results actually survive scrutiny? The verdict is more sobering than the headlines suggest. Replication of Quantum Factorisation Records with an 8-bit Home Computer, an Abacus, and a Dog This talk presents implementations that match a...

Replication of Quantum Factorisation Records with an 8-bit Home Computer, an Abacus, and a Dog This talk p...

RE: https://climatejustice.social/@kpas/117466322187884672 @marcel.waldvogel.family Below the full invite for this Wednesday. I don't know if Stephan is going to bring his dog. Nor do I know if the dog, the abacus, and the 8-bit home computer will work together or whether each of them can perform factorisation independently. There is only one way to find out. But for those who can't make it, I'll ask Stephan if we can share his slides. Or at least a summary.
