I've basically given up telling people what happens when they use LLMs too much, but I have not yet given up defending the codebase at my customer against incredibly stupid LLM changes. We'll see how long the bastion stands.

Of course we have Node v14 running in our pipelines. No one gives a shit apparently.

RE: https://social.treehouse.systems/@CursedSilicon/117486590058547746 I don't hate on PHP and I really like what the language is developing into, but this is too good.

Everyone afraid of the brotli problem but no one noticed the plaintext keys in the config file. Good job people.

Yesterday it was my first time clicking "Beenden" in Microsofts IIS. I do not want this in my life.

My lovely wife is not sold on us going to Italy for ~2 weeks this autumn. I will now need to come up with a master plan to convince her.

@Abstract_Mage_Annastasia@tech.lgbt The best. Storage, Compute and not paying ransom for my data is awesome (and how things should be).

I'm working as a freelancer, which means I'm a business. I can not easily give to the BSD foundations [well I could but it would make sense to do it as a business] (#FreeBSD, #NetBSD, #OpenBSD) because I'd need an invoice. Can someone help a fellow out here? How do companies do it? I'm based in Germany in case that matters.

Shoutout to @mischa@exquisite.social and @OpenBSDAms@mastodon.bsd.cafe for routing me a /56 IPv6 subnet in sub 7 minutes after I hit the send button on the request form. #openbsd #bsd

There is a decomissioned WW2 bunker a couple minutes away from me. I have the hmurge to build a DC in there, heat the roof with some of the heat and have a nice rooftop bar for the neighbours.

I do not know how developers can work their career without knowing about Unix related systems. I'm not judging it, I'm just in the dark that they never encountered it.
