    Two big recent self-hosting discoveries. First, the excellent BookOrbit, which has replaced Calibre, Calibre-Web, Komga, and Audiobookshelf in my stack. Second, Quartermaster, which can be found at https://www.qmstack.com, has completely blown me away across iOS, tvOS, and the companion container.

    A modest proposal. Once every 10 years, college football should have a season where the forward pass is illegal. This is a better idea than a 24 team playoff, and will fight anyone who disagrees.

    Miami is #1 in the AP poll for the first time since 2002. My confidence level in the team’s ability to win it all is at its lowest this season, but maybe I’m being too harsh. It’s not easy to win every game that you play in a power four conference.
