Watching NFL playoffs. Starting off, of course, with the National Anthem 🇺🇸 “that the flag was still there” 🇺🇸 I wonder what Zelensky’s gonna see, when he wakes up on January 21? The flag still there? Or a deserted embassy, with a naked flag pole?

We’ve lost the Creamsicle Bucs, but at least the Broncos are in the playoffs to rep orange jerseys #NFL

Brandon Cisse is a joy to watch on defense. #Packers #LionsvsPackers

Ah, good. Blandino confirms I’m not crazy. I thought I remembered shoving a receiver out of bounds being a penalty. (I’m not crazy, I’m old. Much better.) #Packers #LionsvsPackers

No calls on the Lions. All the calls on the Packers. Ridiculous. What is with this officiating crew? At least be consistently awful. #Packers #LionsvsPackers

I have very mixed feelings about Josh Jacobs coming back to the Packers. He’s making a difference today. The team obviously needs someone like him, but I’d really, really prefer it not be him. I can’t feel good about a (potential) win courtesy of a domestic abuser. #Packers #LionsvsPackers

Two centers injured. Trey Smack missing multiple times. Every receiver dropping something. Refs making insane calls. This game is cursed. And somehow we’re still tied. #Packers #LionsvsPackers

I can be pissed at the officiating and still acknowledge that the Packers are leading if Evan Williams hangs on to at least one interception ball and if the receivers don’t drop multiple deep balls. #Packers #LionsvsPackers

Thinking about which non-fiction book I want to read next. I think I’m leaning towards JESUS WARS, but we’ll see what I actually end up reaching for. https://hardcover.app/@jmartindf/lists/up-next-short-list-non-fiction?order=books_pages&direction=asc&start=0&limit=100&view=card

I didn’t realize until I was there today that 4th Ave parking is now metered until 7pm and limited to just 2 hours at a time. That’s no good when out to eat at a 4th Ave restaurant and then do some local shopping. Not sure I understand the logic from #TucsonAZ city council on this. https://www.change.org/p/roll-back-expanded-times-and-days-on-4th-avenue-parking-meters

The Milwaukee Brewers wear super-sharp road uniforms and win 10-1 against the Tampa Bay Rays, to take a 3-0 lead in the World Series. Coincidence? Maybe. Let’s go Brewers! Let’s keep it going tomorrow and make it 1-0 for Championships in my lifetime! #worldseries #brewers #MilwaukeeBrewers

This has been a good month for finishing. My “currently reading” list is down to 8 books, after finishing 12(!) that had been languishing there. I’m actively finishing two more and giving myself permission to start 1 new non-fiction and 1 new fiction. #books #bookstodon https://hardcover.app/@jmartindf/books/currently-reading

It seems it’s been a while since I last wore anything other than athletic shoes or crocs.
