The New York Times is 2-for-2 in pissing me off today. I mean, look at this crossword puzzle. And on the first night of Hanukkah.

@hierofalco My brain still can't wrap itself around this. AND ON THE FIRST NIGHT OF HANUKKAH. The crossword editor is a sick bastard. 🤬

Making spinach pie with pasta in lieu of phyllo, then topping it with feta béchamel before the oven. Call it spanakoziti.

Comrades, I present to you SPANIKOZITI!

  • View post

Spanakoziti turned out alright, but texture was too squishy. Prob should have used lasagna or manicotti for pasta. Rigatoni was not the right medium. Otherwise, flavor was good.

“[British foreign minister Robin] Cook’s vision of multicultural Britain often grated against reports of daily life in Britain — and in curry houses, where after local pubs closed it was common for racist, drunken diners to file in, demanding the South Asian foods they’d grown to love while also abusing the workers who came from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.” https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/22/dining/ali-ahmed-aslam-dead.html?unlocked_article_code=AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACEIPuonUktbfqYhlSlUZASbZXN4m...

I always manage to be around when disaster strikes. Could be relatively minor (as today), could be major (9/11, COVID). I need a goddamn drink.

@kriswd40@hachyderm.io I believe the boy’s name is Coral.
